Telogen effluvium, also called club hair,
is the most common cause of hair loss among women. It consists of the
harmonious break of the capillary life cycle, having several causes, and
usually responds well to medical treatments. The cause of most cases of telogen
effluvium is physical or psychological stress caused by an event. Telogen
effluvium is quite common after pregnancy (postpartum effluvium).
