Dr. Gustavo Rodrigues holds a Master's degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, a program he completed in 2020.
He currently works as an Internal Doctor specializing in Endocrinology and Nutrition (5th year) at ULS Coimbra – Coimbra University Hospital Center, and has also been a guest lecturer in Histology and Developmental Biology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra since 2021.
In 2024, he attended the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Update Course from the Spanish Society of Endocrinology and Nutrition. A year later, he completed an internship in Transgender Health and Gender Affirmation Care at the Centrum voor Seksuologie en Gender of the University Hospital Ghent (Belgium).
His main areas of interest include: imaging in endocrinology; transgender health and gender affirmation care; and nodular pathology of the thyroid.
He is also a member of various societies and study groups, namely the Portuguese Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (SPEDM), the Portuguese Diabetes Society (SPD), the European Endocrine Society (ESE), the Thyroid Study Group (SPEDM), the Transgender Medicine Study Group (SPEDM), and the Neuroendocrine Tumor Study Group (SPEDM).
