ARTHUR

Project Title: ARTHUR: 3D DENTOFACIAL SURGERY FULL PLANNING

(POCI-01-0247-FEDER-039690)

PROJECT FEATURES:

Notice 33/SI/2015

This project aims to develop a virtual surgery solution, in terms of bone and dental structure, able to predict the real impact on facial features. The solution will be cloud-based and enable the clinical staff to carry out the virtual surgery planning, using cutting guides and surgical plates or guides on a parameterized anatomical model of the head achieved by merging three exams: Cone Beam Computer Tomography (CBCT), Intraoral Scan and 3D Stereo Photogrammetry. Above all, based on this planning and using the parameterized anatomical model, it is possible to make a forecast and realistic representation of the impact of the surgical intervention on the patient's facial features.
