Doctor trained at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon, with surgical specialization at the Hospital de Santa Maria.

It differentiated itself in the treatment of salivary gland diseases. He received training in diagnosis using ultrasound and sialography and approaches treatments using minimally invasive techniques, through ultrasound-guided and endoscopic techniques. He is a member of the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.

He is also dedicated to facial surgery, whose experience he applies to surgical approaches for salivary duct reconstruction. He is one of the Portuguese surgeons on the Faculty of the International Sialendoscopy Society.

He is a guest assistant in postgraduate courses at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon in the areas of oral reconstruction and rehabilitation.
