VASCULAR INJURIES

VASCULAR INJURIES OF THE MOUTH

Vascular lesions of the mouth are lesions of the vessels (arteries and veins) of the mouth.

These are benign diseases, but they must be diagnosed and investigated to see how far they extend in the tissues/organs. Often what we see in the mouth is just the “tip of the iceberg”, other times they are merely isolated minor lesions that are easy to resolve. When in more exposed places such as the lips or tongue they can result in a less favourable aesthetic appearance.

Did you know that the preferred approach to these vessel injuries is laser?
